Hobo Railroad

The Hobo Railroad is based in Lincoln, NH, just south of Franconia Notch in NH’s beautiful White Mountains. Our Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad is based in the lakeside village Meredith, NH. Operating from late May through October, we offer old-fashioned train rides along NH’s largest lake daily throughout the Summer months, and weekends from Labor Day through the end of October. Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch State Park

The Flume

The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. A trip into the Flume begins and ends at the Flume Visitor’s Center. Guests can choose to walk through just the Gorge or do a two mile loop. The walk includes uphill walking and lots of stairs. The Cog Railway

The Mount Washington Cog Railway, also known as the Cog, is the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway. The railway is still in operation, climbing Mount Washington in New Hampshire, USA.
